regular volume-level backups. Veeam agent to a NAS is my favorite way to do this. Yes, SSD's have a write lifespan, measured in sustained TBW or terabytes written per day over the duration of the manufacturer warranty. It's pretty hard to reach this limit normally. If this is an issue for you, look into enterprise SSDs. Pricey though

SDDs are quite cheap nowadays. You could hobble together a cheap NAS out of spare PC parts and a used RAID card. There are build guides out there for this. Personally, too lazy to fuck with all that, and I would just get a cheap 2-bay synology NAS, with WD Red mechanical disks in RAID1 (initial cost is maybe $500-600 for the NAS and drives). Setup a regular backup job with Veeam agent, it's free.

Actually. 3k is images fucking nothing for an SSD. I think your SSD just died tbh. I have a 4TB consumer ssd encrypted with veracrypt with about 150k images in it. You can probably still get those images recovered if you send it and about $3,000 to a data recovery lab heh

I suppose it's possible a windows update could have killed your drive, BUT i have never heard of this. Worst case, is a windows update fries your OS and you can't boot to it anymore. But the files are likely still accessible, provided it's not encrypted with bit-locker, or you have access to the bitlocker key in your MS account.

Even so, your drive is likely still viable if your install a fresh windows OS (or any OS) on to it.

It's unlikely a NAND wear issue and power delivery wouldn't affect this anyway. SO your issue is power delivery, thus you need to look at your system overhead and surges during peak use times

he's right that you need a powerful enough PSU to the handle GPU. Recommended PSU for the 3060 ti is 450W. So a 650W should be sufficient. It's very likely your SSD just died. Component damage happens a lot from power surges. Which is why I keep stressing a UPS. Whatever you do, make sure the wattage rating of the UPS matches your PSU. Also get an online UPS, or a double-conversion UPS. Do not get a standby UPS.
