The appeal is quite simply they are almost flawless (no acne, scar, clogged poresetc) aesthetically and can have unique color/shape eyes/hair as it's all drawn. White hair irl not as pretty/cool as white hair in anime style. Characters themselves are usually very animated/amplified personality wise. Wuth romanticized values/personalities/quirks that a real women wouldn't have or do. Most American women are whores with minimal attatchment and personality. This makes anime girls even more appealing for ppl as they fill in the gaps left by real women
