Because saying someone "rapes / wants to rape kids" is a lot stronger of an argument than someone "is attracted to or has sex with young women of a sexually reproductive age, like people did for hundreds of thousands of years." I am not saying there isn't an argument to be made that wanting to fuck teenagers is a bad thing for the teenagers, and that it should be discouraged, but it is definitely not as fucked up or disgusting as wanting to fuck pre-pubescent actual kids.

And also, to some lesser extent, women hate more competition for good men and if it was socially acceptable to fuck / date 13-17 year olds then most roasties would be cooked by age 25.
