Anyone who calls a beverage that isn't coca cola "coke" deserves to have their traitor monuments torn down.

I use "Coke" as a generic term for sodas produced by the Coca-Cola Company. For example, "I'll do a large Coke" if I'm planning to fill the cup with Sprite from a Coca-Cola fountain. Similarly, I would use "Pepsi" for Mtn Dew.

Hey there! I'm a 21-year-old girl from the US, a bit on the adventurous side and totally love getting a little wild during spicy chats. I get a thrill out of teasing guys and pushing their buttons while we’re having a blast together. I'm super comfy in my skin and embrace my curves, but I also have a bit of social anxiety, which makes meeting new people in person tricky. That's why I’m all about the thrill of flirty texting! If you’re down for some fun and flirty exchanges, add me on that app where you can share pics and videos: e m-yz e t h (just make sure to remove the spaces)! Can't wait to chat!

Since i've lived in that area in the last 15 years I'd say no one says soda there, maybe 1 in 50

I'm in the southwest and I use soda and pop interchangeably. I also hear them both pretty regularly.

Live in NC nobody calls it soda. It's a coke. Actually pretty annoying because I work at a movie theater that has Pepsi instead of Coke. half the time when I ask if Pepsi is okay the people say no and the other half they yell at me because Pepsi is a Coke and they think I'm trying to be a smartass.

That's incredibly infuriating, and super unsurprising for the south. They are so set in their own ways, they literally cannot fathom a different perspective.
