CPB is just a bureaucracy which takes money from the federal government and gives it to PBS and NPR, they write grants and distribute federal money. That was pretty much their only function. With federal funding at an end, CPB has no function.
PBS and NPR are still running. They always claimed that the federal grants were only a small part of their budget, so this should have minimal effect.

Im well aware. I worked on broadcast towers for 12 years and was part of the last "repac" where T-Mobile spent billions buying up phase 0 frequencies for their 5g upgrades. Most of the stations that took the buyout where public broadcast companies like PBS and nonprof.channels that can't afford the upgrades even on the govt. Or mobiles bill. Broadcast is dying regardless, most of the open channels for FM have been eaten up by IHeartRadio and most of the TV stations have gone to affiliates of corporate stations like abc and fox. There are only 24 Television channels (frequencies) left, there used to be around 85, but the higher freq channels like UHF have been swallowed up for cell signal distribution. And I can promise it will happen one more time when the US gets serious about 6g. Fuck there are only 88 Independent stations left in the entire US, compared to 330 or so in the mid 2000s.

I'd argue the government does more than just "help" fund it if the instant the government funding ends it just kills it completely. Sounds to me like it was completely dependent on government funding. All those pledge drives and shit were just a racket most likely.

Anyway, when the government is funding something, it also gets to impose conditions on that funding and in that way influence the message being sent. That's the problem.

Yeah, the name of the game is just counting calories. You just need to have your limit, count everything you eat, and make sure the day's total is at or below that limit. Soup is typically very low calorie, it's literally eating meat and veggies plus meat flavored juice that usually cups at like 35cal a CUP. You'll want to make sure you're staying full as reasonably possible, but also it's advised to never force feed yourself. Below your calories limit and not hungry? Cool. Extra deficit that day. It's [meal time] and you aren't hungry? Don't eat. Shrimple. Also, avoid liquid calirie like milk, juice, soda, and various flavored drinks. Always ready the label, before you drink enough calories for a large meal and now you can't eat any more for the day. Unsure about eating something? Log it as if you did eat it and see how you feel. If you can really live with that then sure eat it, if not then don't eat it. You will have to be hungry at some points and just accept it. Just be hungry and not eat. Stay strong and wait until you can eat. Different meal times and meal numbers may vary, really it what works for you. One meal a day (OMAD) usually very popular, most agree dinner is best so you aren't trying to sleep hungry.
