I lived in a car for 2.5 years during covid, initially it was because I was broke but had driven trucks before so I wasn’t afraid to live in truck stop parking lots, later it was because nobody would rent to me with low income and an eviction on my name.
$200/month on a phone plan is comical, drop that shit entirely, if your phone is financed then buy the cheapest used phone that can run a modern web browser and get a prepaid annual plan like mint or whatever because that shit is sub $200/year.
You’re paying too much for car insurance, if you’re not financing then go state minimum.
And stop buying expensive food, your food should be mostly non perishable, calorie per dollar type foods. I lived on dry instant ramen, little Debbie oatmeal cream pies, and whatever bread I could find for the cheapest at Walmart. I could eat for a month on $30. It’s not enjoyable but I didn’t starve.

You need a job. This doesn’t get better without a job. I managed to pull together a basic job even living in the car with goodwill clothes, truck stop showers and just being presentable. Shave your damn face, cut your hair, keep yourself clean. For a long while I was washing myself with a wet rag or a bottle of isopropyl alcohol.

if your on ssi or ssdi you can get a pass at the gov parks. its makes camping 50% off. get a good size tent. you can camp for free or 3$ to 15$ some come with shower and power and so on and some camping spots have nothing. look around. freecampsites.net is a good place to go. at this point like some have said its the van life. save up and do what you can slowly. and if the car stops working go walk the AT trail or something.
