He picks Emma because he’s making a reference to a former poster/spammer in this threads, Midgie or midgetfag or emmafag, who used to post Emma. And also because it lets him claim he’s not spamming, he’s posting celeb pics in a celeb thread, even if they’re 15kB.
He does it because he’s delusional, and thinks that he’s owed conversation and flirting because he “brings value to these threads”. He gets upset when he sees conversations happening with people who he sees as putting in less effort than he does, because he can’t conceptualize that 10+ years of spamming makes people not want to interact with him, and actively avoid him.
