The smell you are referring to is probably masala,garam masala and various spices, garlic, onions. Most of the times we don't notice it.

( It's just a propaganda spread by companies to sell more incense sticks and these idiots fell for it.... Large weddings weren't common until 1980's yes these idiots fell for what was shown in movies )
Rant ahead -
- For some reason Indians are losing their civic sense even more! ( Yes that includes paki,bangladeshi people too ).
- huge population with unlimited internet + short-form bs content you get dumb,lazy, jobless population.
- every few or couple weeks there's a bs festival around and cuz of that there will be dj, loud speakers n stuff, parades.
( Guess what this is mostly done for show off, their faith is weakening, teachings are weakening but celebration without any reason is getting intense n intense )
- generally Indians don't like to ask being told but they will easily do anything if they are "directed"
( You will easily notice this even in UI of asian countries and west countries software)
- listening to music , watching reels,shorts,videos at hospitals public places without earphones is common here and I hate it to the core. If asked to wear earphones you will get rude stares or will get beaten up.
- there's one more funny thing. In many many scenarios paki, bangla people will tell you that they are Indian to get their way (e.g. paki taxi/Uber drivers tend to tell customers as they are from Shri Lanka or India )
- and the entire country is becoming more messy.
I don't want to live here either, surrounded by stupid people who don't care about others.
- I am born in Hindu family, but I don't care about gods. If they exist then good and all. if they don't I didn't care from the beginning anyways. Live and let live should be everyones moto. But no here every one is like " struggling for survival ".
