Sure, in return DNA based paternity tests are mandatory at birth and will automatically remove any parental responsibility for men who turn out not to be the biological fathers.
Also men should have the right to financially abort the responsibility for a child they have no interest in raising.
If women get the right to refuse taking responsibility for the life growing in them, men should have the same right.

Even if the fetus is first considered a life after a certain amount of gestation, that doesn't mean that legal abortions aren't giving women the right to not take care of the child that would eventually result from their pregnancy.

My point of contention was that abortion and adoption gives women rights and protections that men don't have the equivalent of.

An abortion should be a womans right. But rights come with responsibilities, so the abortion should be accompanied by a mandatory hysterectomy (for 2 reasons)
1. You're not planning on doing the abortion yourself, right? When women say they want the right to abortion, they mean safe abortion. So they need a doctor (who most likely entered the medical profession to SAVE lives) to help murder their baby for them. This is psychological coercion of the worst kind.

Alright, so if you abstain from procreating to avoid passing that on you're doing a sensible thing.
That doesn't mean that people who do procreate are inherently insensible though.
I have no issues with you making the choice of not procreating, but I don't consider you making that choice something that makes you morally better or superior to anyone.
You mentioned the impact of humans on the planet and if you ask me we can't fix that impact unless humans continue existing and have a vested interest in solving shit to make the lives of future generations better.

Alter your perspective then, contemplate on how technology has progressed throughout the last 500 years, instead of being hyper focused on the state it is in at this very moment.
It is easy to look at the world as it is, exclaim "It's fucked" and then throw your hands up in the air in a defeatist manner. Anyone can do that and it doesn't change or fix anything.
The hard thing to do, is actually giving yourself enough credit to realize that you were born with agency, which affords you the inborn power to change the world just a tiny little bit, figuring out what to apply that power on, how to do it and then constructively doing something about the world being fucked.
Well I say that it is hard and but that is only in the beginning. Once you've made it a habit to take action in a constructive manner when faced with a problem, it is oddly freeing to do so and you'll wonder why you ever allowed yourself to pretend that you couldn't do anything about a problem when you face it.
