because I'm curious:
>>938075555
I dunno if i can do another thread for the night
>>938075604Good night.
Sleep tight.
Don't let the coffin worms bite.
I don't think my stomach liked me eating that many spicy peanuts in one sitting.
>stomach growls like a jaguar
No, it did not.
Imma be back in... hopefully less than 15 minutes.
and he was never heard from again
I made it back in 10.

Alright. I'm going to bed.

I sure love waking up after 4 hours and not going back to sleep
I'm straight up about to just launch WoW for the first time in two years as I wait for the drugs to kick in
>install windows
>install drivers for psvr
>it work
meanwhile in linux i had 2 weeks of installation hell and still did not manage to make it work the expected way
>>938083567if you ever wanna play with me just let me know
idk why I didn't play any Cataclysm Classic because I liked it, but I've gotta make a cute Worgen lady
>>938083776you tried installing PSVR on Linux?
well there's no surprise there
I'm surprised it works with Windows
>thought I came up with a good name for the worgen for once
>taken
how the fuck could a name like that be taken, wtf
oh, it's a name of a flower, bloodroot
damn, that's fucking sick and actually perfect
>>938083803I bought a driver for psvr, helmet is alright steamvr sees it. Will install drivers for camera and psmove today
Psvr could work on linux, but in my case there are problem after problem
>>938085025that's gaming on Linux for ya
best of luck with Windows
>>938085098Gaming on linux is ok, in fact i game on linux. This psvr issue is the only reasons why i installed windows
>>938085254I know, I'm just joking
I know it's gotten better over the years
I'm waiting for a proper release of SteamOS so I can officially use Linux
>>938091133dang it's a play on jetty
>>938092336I don't know. Sounds like bloatware to me.
>>938092336>jettyhaven't heard of this webserver before
>>938092825java world shenanigans
>>938092847thank god I never went down that path
instead I'm dealing with raw tcp issues
>>938092976I enjoy it. Working with spring boot is nice.
I feel like most Java haters just used it in it's raw form for school projects and never got deep enough for the stuff that makes it enjoyable to work with.
It's very verbose but I'm okay with that. I'd rather work with it than python any fuckin' day.
I'd rather play with a snake than drink a cup of coffee..?
>>938093109toilet crap paper?
>>938093037>just used it in it's raw form for school projectscaught.jpg
also I hate having to install JVMs for things even though it's not that bad
is the lack of strong typing the part you dislike about python? because it has thta now (via hints).
how true are the abstract bean factory memes for java?
>>938093238I'm not aware of the memes. Spring Boot makes spinning up beans with annotations hella easy, I never use bean factories directly.
Also I dunno what it is, but every time I use python I feel gross. I think it's just the whitespace scoping. It does have a lot of nice syntactic sugar.
>>938093345>I'm not aware of the memes.First 2 results on google are this image and this link
https://docs.spring.io/spring-framework/docs/2.5.x/javadoc-api/org/springframework/aop/framework/AbstractSingletonProxyFactoryBean.html
>>938093407so basically how I feel about Java
we should stop hating languages and join forces in hating the vibe coders
>>938093481Working with Spring without Boot wrapping it does sound like complete AIDS. Imagine configuring your code with XML. Disgusting.
But yeah vibe coders are trash. Untouchables of the programming world.
watch scrabble, new game is about to start.
we're moving a lot of our python code to go anyway
seems opinions on go aren't great either but I've really been enjoying it. you gotta deal with the garbage collector but their performance tooling is also S-tier so it's not a big deal.
>>938093955keep us updated on any insane plays
it's already been a year since dragoneer croaked?
Don't forget to go outside enjoy the sun and have a break.
It seems I have summoned a beast.
>>938094010I've actually heard good things about Go.
I wish my company would let us start using Kotlin... Maybe I should try pushing that issue a bit. I can't be the only one that would be interested in that. Kotlin looks fantastic.
That's a young sparrow on my balcony that is *loud*
is this a 'go to the store' kinda morning?
it's wet outside
>>938094403Is Kotlin generally usable outside of Android?
If so, ya that'd be nice.
Some of my coworkers really want us to move to Rust, but my boss thinks the juniors wouldn't be able to handle it.
>>938094693no
>>938094693Its always wet of you take shower and dont dry
>>938094819huh, i never thought of it that way
>>938094809mm i am feeling lazy...
>>938094809Oh yeah, you can use Kotlin for anything you use Java for. It's just like another JVM bytecode compiler kinda like how Groovy works.

Grats to Wellington Jighere, winner of this scrabble tournament.
the game almost ended with NEWBS and VAGINAE!
did he win? i missed it, sorta.
Nigel was up 15-0 and then apparently lost 5 games in a row.
there is another game to come, I don't think they are even on lunch break yet.
but ima go do stuff and then more stuff, i don't think ima hang out here much more for a while.
I don't know what to expect or hope for when it comes to work. I'm going to be annoyed if it's slow because the work volume kept me from leaving early yesterday when I wanted to watch a movie.
I'm not sure if I have the energy for a busy day. But I also risk being super lethargic and if it's slow and I'm stuck at my desk.
To be so civilized, one must tell civil lies.
I wish river had two biological hands
>vaccsucc house
>fill two cans full of dog hair
>dispose of in produce bag
>bring produce bag full of dog hair and dust to big black trash bin
>look in bin
>the hell is this nice bag doing in the trash?!?
>THE HELL ARE ALL THESE ALUMINUM CANS DOING IN THE TRASH??
>THE BLUE RECYCELING BIN IS LITERALLY RIGHT NEXT TO THE BLACK ONE!??!?!
Why would a river have hands? They can flow just fine without them.
think of the attachment options!
