My Wife left last weekend to go visit her sick Grandmother.

I stayed back and tended to the house.

On Saturday I was mowing the lawn when my hot neighbor who is married looked over the fence and told me I looked like I could use a cold one and she handed me a beer.

We started chatting and it turns out her husband was also away for the weekend on business so she suggested that we have dinner together.

I declined but then she just came right out and said we can cut to the chase and just fuck...

Since I posted this, she came over and pushed my ring doorbell leaving a message for my wife on there stating that she needs to speak with her when she gets home.

I would go and delete it, but my Wife has access to the acct and already saw it. She asked me if I know anything about what the neighbor wants to talk about.

Lied and said it might be about cutting the branches off our tree which are hanging over their pool and dropping leaves into to. Wife said that is odd she wants to talk to her about it considering I am the one home and I am the one that does all of the yard work.

Well I am totally fucked now.

The neighbor called my Wife and told her everything.

My brother in law called me from the hospital and said they were sitting next to the dying Grandmother's bed when my Wife got the call.

Apparently she screamed out in anger so loud that it rattled the Grandmother enough to the point she passed away instantly.

After that, I got another call from hospital security and local law enforcement telling me that I need to come in for questioning and I might be liable for the Grandmothers death because of my actions.

My bitch neighbor that started all of this just yelled up to my window from outside and said...

"Heard you had a death in the family!!! Good luck with that sweetheart!"

Fuck what should I do? Do I turn myself in to hospital security and law enforcement?

Should I get a lawyer?

I don't know if there is any liability around the grandmother's death. The causal chain is your wife screaming and your neighbor calling her, your neighbor blackmailing you, you having sex with your neighbor, your neighbor seducing you... Not exactly obvious how responsibility is apportioned, but clearly you need a lawyer.

***UPDATE***

So I went to the hospital and was immediately taken to a security interrogation room.

I explained to the officer and security guard that I don't want to say anything without the presence of an attorney.

They looked at each other and the cop said...

"We thought you would say that. That's why we called the Public Defender in."

Who walked through the door but Ralph, the husband of the neighbor I banged that started this whole mess.

I spoke up and said it was a conflict of interest because of the situation but they said I have to keep him as my attorney.

Ralph then said that I wish to plead guilty to manslaughter of the grandma, WHICH I DON'T!

Officer and Security guard advised me that I can go home for now but have to come back to the hospital security room for sentencing in like a week.

Tried calling my wife and she won't answer my calls.

On my way out of the hospital, Ralph told me to burn in hell for fucking his Wife. He also said he has a lot of clients in lock up who owe him a favor and he is going to call them in to ensure my stay is unpleasant as possible.

I am so done with this all. I feel like my heart was ripped out of my chest.

That's not how any of this works.

For starters, hospitals have security, but they are not cops, and they don't give a shit about any of this. If anything, they would be upset with your wife, she was the one that had the outburst.

And don't get me started on the lawyer aspect of it; you can absolutely fire a lawyer, even a public defender at any time, and if he misrepresents you, you have a malpractice case against him which could cost him his job.
