50 here. getting old sucks. it ain't for sissies. your body is falling apart and you're dying and you need to embrace it. in the very old days of small community and no modern tech if you had an issue you just suffered or maybe drank wine but humans used to be a lot tougher if I had to guess

I got diabetis from it, got fat, sleep up to 17h, get congestion. I am always too tired to do something and to awake to sleep. this and getting old is a shit combo

I can remember several patients on the ward who had schizophrenia but not the treatment resistant variety.
I take Seroquel for hypomania so I can relate that the drugs make you tired and hungry.
But schizophrenics take much higher doses.

I think my least favorite one was Invega.
On bipolar they sometimes give you anticonvulsant drugs to stabilize mood, which I didn't like.
I wish I could play wow all day.

no, i moved across the country ~4 years ago, since then it's getting upwards. without the meds I'd be a potato soon, so i take them and accept the side effects. my life quality is somewhat okay to be honest. schizobucks help a lot when it comes to institutions, they don't bother to let me go work. I just live in the day, play wow, write with friends, binge watch youtube. it's a trade. But if I could choose, i'd live a normal life. I cant get pussy because pussy no like schizo, i can't get a dog, because it would shit and piss in my flat .. yeah

Idk. I would say talk to your psych about it, but if you're that treatment resistant idk how option you got honestly.
That's a tough one because mania/psychosis makes you not want to sleep. And I've been there where it's been several days and it's just building up into something psychologically problematic.
