My wife and I have always split things 50/50. We both have jobs. We have a joint bank account we each contribute exactly a certain amount into each month. All bills, house expenses, groceries etc. are paid with that account. Any money we make on top of that is ours to spend how we wish.

Every time I see this sort of things it's like, do you not enjoy showing your partner affection? Do they not enjoy showing you affection? Why are you with somebody you hate so much that there is even the opportunity for such a transaction?
