Why are they like this? Yes it is the same exact people who often hold these two views. You can't believe in "free will" and "mentally ill people need to be medicated" at the same time. Does free will stop existing once a certain serotonin level is reached? Either everything is free will or nothing is free will.

According to free will believers, the ONLY reason they're not currently raping and murdering people is because they have to actively "free will" themselves not to. Otherwise they'd be doing it. Yikes. Meanwhile determinism believers never have to worry about that shit because it never even crosses their mind.

Who would you rather trust. 1. Free will believer who has to constantly and actively "choose" not to rape or murder people.
