Is rape ever justified? In my opinion, murder is infinitely worse than rape and yet there's scenarios where killing is legally or morally justified. Rape on the other hand, which will not permanently snuff out life, is treated as a taboo act no matter the circumstances. I don't mean this in some shitty fetish manner, but as an actual question

I really don't want to rant at this time of day. Suffice it to say it can be anything from a fun surprise or an event that ruins your life and makes you wish you were killed instead. A good chunk of that is due to the social stance and the response people are raised to have.
However unwanted pregnancy, risk of std, assault, drugging, forcible restraint, sex that is physically harmful, and the economic challenge that resolving those things might cause all go beyond how you and society treat surprise sex. Some of which can be life long problems no matter how stoic you are.
If you get killed assuming there is no afterlife then it stops being your problem the moment you die. If you get raped well there is more to it than it being casual sex and you have to live with that.

There's a difference. Torture can leave physical scars or injuries that don't go away. Rape is just the utilization of a body part without the other parties consent. You said it yourself. You can imagine plenty of scenarios where it's justified to take another person's life--generally because it's the only way to protect yourself or others. The fact you can't come up with an emergency situation where raping someone solves the problem probably answers your question.
