Already happened since LoL. PC gaming for decades has always been big on kpop since korea predominantly plays on PC.
Meanwhile even Japan seems to be ashamed of Jpop because it's mostly associated with anime. I really feel like the japanese vidya industry has a massive disconnect with its otaku/idol culture. Too weird for their main demographic which is westerners I guess?
