But have you ever read his novella, Fartleby? It's about a lawyer who hired a new clerk, named Fartleby, who refuses to do any work and answers every request with a sheepish, "I'd prefer to eat shit."

I think Fartleby is a much better and much more relevant story for our current political situation.
