Because for the first time in your life you are going to be rewarded for putting in all of this effort for the one you really like and because the act of cooking and preparation makes you feel closer to him, you were able to make him dinner, a simple thing to most people turns into something you've gone

No clue but my late mother cooked all her life for my old man. He would do too on special occasions. I miss them both so.
