There's literally terabytes of evidence of Russian social media interference into the election. Russia IS so bad at everything else, that's why they work the way they do.

At that point, Soviet Russia was literally made of rubble. WW2 had JUST ended, and the Soviets had nothing. Their tactic was to indirectly attack, through bugging our offices to get information that could put them a step ahead.
This time, they can't do shit because the US is constantly interfering with Ukraine (Has been since like 2004, but it really started to kick off in 2014 under Obama.)
Putin realized he can't mess with Ukraine until he gets ineffective presidential candidates in office.
Putin turns on his Internet brigades in 2015, and helps get Donald Trump elected with constant social media campaigns, like free campaign work for him, but by the midterms, it's clear Trump isn't gonna be able to stop a US response to Ukraine and Putin needed to stockpile weapons anyway. I believe he likely helped get Biden elected, because the negative press coverage of Biden's health implied he could die mid-term, leaving a gap in American response time. He realized by about 2023 that Joe Biden wasn't as sleepy as was on the American Media, and he needed someone who just didn't care, and he restarted the manipulation engine in late 2022.
Trump wins the 2024 election, after roughly 2 years of manipulation.
The nice thing about the Internet is that history isn't history.
