Agreed anon. Our system has been broken a long time and it will be a difficult journey to fixing it. As long as we educate each other, the better we can make our communities and country. Truth is, we need people to pick crops and work the jobs we don't want to. In saying this, we need to vet them and make sure they are good, hard working people. We also can't swamp existing communities with people we don't know. It is dangerous and it is unnecessary. I implore you to read the government article posted here...

What would also help with all violence is to make it so the person defending themselves cannot be prosecuted or sued if they were truly defending themselves / didn't cause the problem in the first place.
If someone goes into road-rage mode, gets out of their car with a bat in their hand and I run them over, I shouldn't be arrested and I shouldn't be sued by their estate.
Lift the burden of defending ourselves off of us and it won't be long until the crime rate drops to nothing.
