It looks like the defendant quickly accepted responsibility for her death and a previous partner said erotic asphyxiation was something she was interested in. An autopsy showed her death took seconds, not minutes. I think tabloid coverage of the event made things a lot worse for the family. The guy who strangled her got six years in prison.
