>I'm literally retarded.
What did you say rights were?
"Freedoms you protect from government."
Let me ask the founders really quick:
"Hey Benny F, what's rights?"
Benjamin Franklin to Robert Morris, 25 December 1783
"All the Property that is necessary to a Man for the Conservation of the Individual & the Propagation of the Species, is his natural Right which none can justly deprive him of: But all Property superfluous to such purposes is the Property of the Publick, who by their Laws have created it, and who may therefore by other Laws dispose of it, whenever the Welfare of the Publick shall demand such Disposition"
>Rights are freedoms
Nope. Rights are rights, freedoms are freedoms. A right is something which cannot be morally taken from you. A freedom is that which can be morally taken from you, because it was bestowed upon you.
You have the freedom to speak how you see fit, but we don't call it the "right to absolute speech" because there are many many situations where you cannot speak freely.
This is why the "right to bear arms" is retarded. It should have been "Freedom to bear arms" because there should be circumstances where a firearm is absolutely not allowed.
>No taxes
Are you literally retarded? Why did the constitution specifically direct how taxes are to be administered if there are to be no taxes?
>Liberty
Define Liberty, you'll find a lot more rights UNENUMERATED, are suddenly covered by it.
>To bear arms
Isn't this distinctly the same as the right to food? You can effectively force someone to sell you a firearm, they can't deny the sale of a firearm to someone who can legally own one because they operate under government regulations, especially under a strict interpretation of the right to bear arms which is popular amongst 2A Republicans today, which is direct hypocrisy on your own part.
Inb4 "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
Yeah man, misquote more.
