Did you not fucking read the post you're replying to? The point was about cetaceans in general. Some cetacean species, like bottlenose dolphins and harbour porpoises, live just as long and sometimes longer in captivity than in the wild, indicating that they are hardly suffering there (even domestic dogs and cats will die prematurely if their environment is genuinely distressful, so lifespan is a good proxy for this stuff and better than trying to read an animal's mind).
Furthermore, other cetacean species such as the Amazon river dolphin are endangered due to habitat loss from dams and industrialization. Other species like the baiji have already gone extinct due to those causes. You'd a retard so you might say "don't destroy their habitat" but you know damn well you won't convince countries like China, India, and Brazil to stop developing their economies so that's a moot point.
OTOH if there is a captive population and the animal husbandry is sufficiently advanced, the captive population can be used to eventually save and replenish the wild population (this has already been done with other species such as the Arabian oryx, the California condor, the southern sea otter, and many others).
