Doubting/questioning everything is too much effort, so most conspiracy theorists are lying to you when they say they 'questioned' it.
The average truther sopped up BS on Facebook if they deny e.g. vaccines or the moon landing, or /pol/ if they deny the Holocaust or some other historical event.
The nitpicky nature of trutherism ("What about the wooden doors in Auschwitz? What about the shadows? What about the way the towers fell?") made it look like things added up, without that conspiracies would just be nonsense with no backbone to *everybody*, there would be no truthers.
And we all know what's with people who blindly believe whatever the media tells them. Ultimately it doesn't matter if you're a sheep, because if you're still involved you'll end up shilling for one side either way, even after thinking the topic through.
So don't act like everything you see is true, but if you don't want to play, then just stop caring deep down and give lip service like "yeah that thing happened, no that one didn't though".
