That’s a pretty broad brush you’re painting with. There are definitely hypocrites who talk about Jesus but don’t live it out — but there are also countless Christians who quietly feed people, run shelters, donate, visit the sick, and help in ways that don’t make headlines. A lot of soup kitchens, hospitals, and charities around the world exist because of people motivated by their faith.
If your only experience has been with people who preach but don’t practice, I get why you’d feel frustrated. But it’s not the whole picture. Some of the most selfless, community-minded people I’ve met are believers who’d never call attention to themselves for it.
The truth is, good and bad exist in every group. If you’re serious about wanting to see Christians helping more, the best move isn’t mocking — it’s encouraging and holding people (including yourself) accountable to do better for their neighbors.
