Almost 2 years since I bought a low speed electric scooter. Been car free for 25 years before that. I dont miss buying gas nor getting dirty up to the elbows fixing this and that on an aging Honda. Never was rich but I live much better without a car dragging my finances down.

I say we make low voltage rails everywhere. Say 50v or so an have small ass slot cars with a decent sized battery for that last 10 or 30 miles where the rails dont go. That way no lange changing, speed is regulated, crashes are automatically prevented for the most part and you dont need a 4,000 pound tank. We have the technology.

Light rail makes much more sense vs the clusterfuk out on our roadways. Just my thoughts I could be wrong.
