Kept an organized book shelf by my bed.
At first I had them with my textbooks and history.
Then I read them, and moved them to the fantasy shelf between Oz, Alice, and Peter, and Tarzan, John Carter, and Conan.
Brought the collection with me to university.
Batshit insane dyed-hair gf saw my collection, the 2nd time we fucked was at my apartment. Next day while I was in classes she broke in and burned my books. Destroyed thousands of dollars of vintage novels, some of them first editions, as much in textbooks, but did not harm the paperback copies of the socialist and communist propaganda.
Her precious item was a Trek carbon fiber bicycle. Which I took and sold online to start covering the cost of replacement textbooks; math, science, and engineering courses.
She wondered where her bike went, and more bizarrely was intensely upset, crying screaming wailing in sad anguish, that 'I broke up with her'. She could not comprehend that destroying about $15K worth of my personal property, and ME getting me fined by the apartment management for an open fire in the parking lot, was not her openly declaring that she dumped me.
Yeah, I have a factual stance on Marxism/Communism/Socialsm; it does not work in reality (very nice for tiny isolated communities and dystopias), and a personal 15000dollar disdain for people who push the fantasy.
