Honestly, there's really nothing in the Bible that backs this up. It's a major tenet of a lot of Christian denominations, especially Catholicism but there's literally no fucking basis for it.
The most cited passage in support of the idea that there wasn't even an angel named Lucifer and that he even rebelled, is a very short verse that mentions "the lucifer" which in Latin means "daystar" as in literally the planet Venus. And it mentions the fall of the Daystar most likely as a metaphor for the rise and fall of King Nebuchadnezzar.
The earliest mention of Satan by name is in either first Kings or Chronicles I forget which now. Basically, Kings and Chronicles tell the same story but from different perspectives and one said that the king of Israel decided to conduct a census. But then the other says just off the cuff, "One day, Satan convinced the king to conduct a census." Just boom, like that suddenly we're supposed to know who Satan is!
And I'm also aware that a lot of people conflate the serpent in the Garden of Eden with satan, but there is nothing in the Bible that says they are the same being. I'm not a fan of religion, never have been. Nothing really points to the fact that a God exists, or at least not in the image that religions perceive it.

The only thing that makes me wonder that God might exist is how the Universe came to be in the first place. The thought that absolutely nothing existed, and then somehow space got really hot, dense and expanded without another underlying cause is unfathomable to me. Though the Big Bang is still just a theory, the most widely accepted one for now, whatever theory you come up with for the creation of the Universe still brings to question if there were other cosmic forces, or some entity, behind it. One that we quite literally cannot understand because our brains aren't evolved enough to rationalize the scope and forces of the Universe.

My point is, IF there is a God, I doubt very much that any religion on this planet is correct about what actually is. If we can't even mentally comprehend the creation and origins of our Universe, how could we possibly comprehend the forces behind it?

I certainly don't believe ancient humans less technologically developed than ourselves have the answers. What they've written and the stories they have about their prophets and deities are simply stories developed to better understand a world that confused them, like weather patterns, the night sky, and disasters. Religion was also a way to rule people with laws and moral systems that brought order to chaos (or tried to).
