I say it like that, but I have no idea what's going on with my console. It'll turn on randomly for no reason waking me up in the middle of the night with the TV blaring the theme, and when I try to do something it'll eventually shut itself off or go into rest mode.

Probably detecting voice on. Turning itself on because it hears what sounds like on.

Turn off the menu music, the beep (if you can on PS4), and set it to auto go into rest mode/off after 5mins. Stop it from turning on the TV, I think that might be called hdmi device link.
