What do people mean when they say they've "checked-out of society"?
Anonymous No.938765883 >>938766309 >>938766312
Literally just means they stopped caring about themselves. It's a nicer way to say people are making a mistake because said people are more likely to read about it and cry over it.

You can't check out of society. Not getting a job, not dating, not making friends or so on doesn't impact society, it just impacts you in the future.

It's technically bad because it just limits retards options in the future which pushes them more to crime and extremism but that's self inflicted.

If they really wanted to properly check out from society they'd have to go full Uncle Ted. And they don't have the balls to do that.

It means they no longer give a fuck about your petty social problems like Trans rights, partisan politics or your fear of "nazis". I have no idea what this >>938765883 retard is trying to say tbh, sounds like some bitch shit about thinking society means you have to interact with people in order to be a part of it.

Personally.
I feel fucked.

Not in the taking it up the ass sense.

In the burnt out, tired of the grind, dont want to do the things i need to do to keep going.

Not a lazy tired. Not even a simple exhausted tired. A new kind of tired.
"I did too much too and everything feels numb and kinda sickly " tired.

Not wanting to deal with people or the effort needed to even muster the strength to pretend to deal with people or things.
A new level of i cant even fake it anymore.
Its not a depression thing. Its not an angry thing. Emotionally stable but drained on life and people in a way that hits in the gut not in the head.
Not in the heart.
That is what checked out of society means to me.

But it could also mean raid shadow legends with over 400 million downloads world wide and 600 champions to choose from.

Imagine society is a rape hotel and you check in to get raped at every turn. Then when you check out you don't get raped but you also aren't really in society but you're still existing. It's what hotel california is about if you need further media references.

> " It means they an heroed " ;
listen up moron : you're evidently a retard and obviously incorrect, since:

[ >>938765728 (OP) ]'s question clearly asks:
> " What do people mean when they say they've "checked-out of society"? " ;
wherein the initial phrases:
᲼᲼( a )᲼ " what do people mean ..." ; and :
᲼᲼( b )᲼ "... when they say ..." ;
are both expressed in the "present tense", explicitly emphasising that the interlocutors are currently speaking, with consciously rational intent, rather than having previously become deceased by an heroing.

Had the latter scenario actually been the case, as you imply:
OP would have asked something like :
> " What did these dead people (formerly) mean when they said that they had: 'checked out of society' (before finally topping themselves) ? "

HTH

They're lazy bastards and need to work harder. Back in my day if somebody said they were checked out we'd take them behind the old wood shed and kick their ass.

I imagine Canada is a rigged casino where you're forced to play, and you only win enough to pay your hotel bill and keep playing for another day. Like being trapped in the holodeck from Star Trek.
