There is a disproportionate concentration of black geniuses in 20th century music (which outside of film is the only art post WW2 that still had new geniuses born to it), the soil of subsaharan Africa is too fertile and harsh for lasting human creations, but its pretty obvious that the blood from the continent is capable of the same greatness as anyone of Eurasia, as when displaced into Eurasian civilization for long enough, they have created the same immortal monuments that are the only thing justifying the existence of these awful civilizations

There isn't a good non black author born after 1945 either. Blacks in America before the war did not go to schools that could offer real literacy, did not have access to foreign language education, did not have time to create their own or properly interact with the white American language (which only has one good author anyway) to create something great, and by the time they had equal access to literary education literature and language were killed by mass communication, highways, and television. There are probably less than 10 great 20th century writers from anywhere, and not a single great poet, you're asking why they didn't go into a dying art, because they were locked out of it and what they were locked out of was access to a dying husk. Now why didn't europeans create great music after WW2 despite creating western classical? Why did the ones who did have to perpetuate the black arts instead of continuing their own tradition? Film and Music are left and Blacks are solely responsible for the salvation and continuance of Western Music when Europeans let it die just like they let all of their children die

Duke Ellington, Kenny Gamble, James Harris III are all at least at the level of Franz Schubert and Chopin, the later two haven't had time to be fully canonized yet but give it a few generations it will happen, and likely their stock will rise above Schubert.

Mbiti is wrong. The hyena, mbiti means hyena in kamba, relies on european abstractions about time. Africans do have a conception of time albeit less refined relative to europeans, highly advanced compared to the piraha in brazil whose language has no way to encode time, but africans are a bigger scapegoat so they get blamed for making the air dry whenever a european sneezes.
