when i was in my first big boy job, i got sick of my decades-older boss dragging me into his nasty office politics and trying to take tasks from other workers and dump them on me to put more of the organization under his control
it came to a head when he fell for some trolling by one of his rivals and came to my office to accuse me of saying something i absolutely did not say
i literally saw red and started yelling at him, tearing apart the lie he believed about me as well as his petty bullshit office politics until he scurried out of my office mid rant
not a smart career move, but it felt pretty alpha
