We were similar age at the time, didn't work out because I didn't want to put in the time to be a dad, but knew she'd be an easy lay, which turned out to be true, but I also was super paranoid about her getting pregnant again which ruined a lot of the fun.

I'm an old man, and older than most of you.

I've tried dating single mothers. From my experiences I've found that if the kid is under 13 or so, things can be good. Smooth. If the kids are teens- you are fucked unless you maintain a strict policy of never meeting the kids.

There's a reason single mothers are single, and it's frequently not their personality. Kids simply grow to be assholes and disruptive at a certain age. Like all of us. And if the parent/child bond is strong, and they don't approve of you, well, that's that. Even if they don't care about you, when Mom tries to incorporate them in on activities it's almost always bound to become a shit show.

These days I'll tolerate elder teens, like maybe 16 to 18, but rare. It's a massive pain.

Also, be very wary of any woman that will give you all or most of their time over their kid- these women are looking for comfort, to be taken care of, at the expensive of their kids. Bad parenting doesn't fly with me.

It kinda sucks: have kids, enjoy being single. And honestly, too, I don't want to raise another man's kid. I've barely raised my own.
