There are Oxford English professors who think that you can change your sex like you can change your underwear these days.
Start writing, have someone proof read it and give you revision examples and do so until you have a good story.
There is no need to be a university professor in order to write engaging stories, just look at Stephen King.

Then work on that, practice on seeing the difference between someone giving you advice to better your writing and someone talking shit about it to piss you off.

Roald Dahl, Mark twain, Charles Dickens, Maya Angelou, H. G. Wells, Ray Bradbury, Agatha Christie and heck even Shakespeare had no university degrees. Also Stephen King didn't have have a university degree either, he taught those classes on his merit in writing alone.
It is possible to teach yourself how to be a good writer anon, just read as many books as you can, notice what works and what doesn't and then implement that in your own writing.

Sure, but it is safe fission that you can use to convert plutonium and uranium waste into safer substances that has a much shorter half life.
If a thorium reactor malfunctions it turns into salt that you can eat in 50 years.
Fusion might also be easier if you have safe fission to kick start it.
