If the user card is a single call per user, then doing by method instead would avoid rate-limiting and you could check their entire chatters fast. You might need multiple calls to get the entire follower list and entire chatter list for a big user like Emiru but it will be much more efficient overall by far

I directly navigate the dom, I don't use an API for this method. It automates the manual clicking a username to see if it follows. It opens every user card, checks if it follows, then once it exhausts the viewer list it clicks the viewer list button to refresh it and repeats n times, removing duplicates at the end. Takes about 30 seconds to check 100 cards. Issue is it's just a simple true/false value.

The API method takes an 30 min to check 1000 but is way more detailed but rate limiting is a major reason why I don't want to use it.

You don't even need a huge sample size to draw an accurate conclusion. 1000 is more than enough.
