I have very mixed feelings about trans. I love being a guy, I look masc, work a masc job. But I get that there are some who don't. I feel like the trans community as a whole suffers because of the actions of a few. Like any other demographic, the ones simply trying to live their lives rarely make the news. The media, both social and traditional, reinforced that. The most audacious, ridiculous, and demanding were the ones getting the spotlight, and an entire public image was concocted. Like white people and trailer trash, black people and niggers, latinos and spics, the image of trans and troons was intentionally manufactured. It doesn't seem fair to any of them. But in the current era, trans are getting the full effect of a scathing public eye. The shooting yesterday was an atrocity. Sadly, I've seen so many in my time. But even going so far back as Columbine, as the details trickle down in the coming days, I can't help but feel bad for them. That they felt so pushed to an extreme that they felt their only reaction could be to lash out with an equally extreme act. What could have stopped this whole thing, what could have saved two young lives and 17 others from damage is just a sliver of kindness and understanding. It takes no effort what so ever to just not say something hurtful. Every dig, condemnation, and snide comment lead to this tragedy. Everyone is so focused on being divided the way that the powers that be want us to be divided that they've forgotten what truly matters. Call me whatever you want. You'll only substantiate my claim. But the time is coming where it's going to be us against them, and I'd like it to be a whole lot of us.

Without God, the possibility of intelligible experience itself collapses. Atheism is self-refuting
