How do you deal with the fact that you're a disappointment to your parents?

In all seriousness, why should the opinions of two people with whom I have little in common influence my life?

I carefully choose the people whose opinions matter to me. But I didn't choose them.

I stopped giving a fuck about what anyone Thinks. After my grandparents both passed away, They were basically the ones who raised me, I stopped giving a fuck.. it was like something inside me just broke and said fuck it.. now i can basically do say what ever the fuck i want and i don't care.. its been both a blessing and a burden at times..

By reminding them I'm exactly the man they raised me to be.

They were disappointed in me for different reasons when I was growing up (other than me using their computers to look up porn), so trying to completely satisfy both of them is likely still impossible.
