The cost of living will come down when everyone makes an actual contribution.
To solve the cost of living, which virtually everyone wants, the government just needs to regulate automation so that it is implemented evenly, per capita, acrost the states.
If a region falls behind on the automation race, there will be no coming back from that. We can't just allow some regions go have nukes while other regions are still using musket balls.
If the US citizens simply implement an AI and Robot distribution policy that allows the elderly and youth to mechanize and produce, the burden on welfare and Medicaid would be reduced considerably.
The robots and AI will assist the elderly, and pay for their living.
This will also delay the work force collapse.
