It's a decent song. Cal approaches his subject matter from a more grounded angle which creates an immediately element of relatability.
He's not overly technical in the rhyme schemes but also not simplistic in them as well. He definitely has an artistic identity and sounds like he's self aware in the type of rapper he wants to be.
Overall he reminds me of Mac Miller when he was nearing the middle of his career. Around the time Mac was past his frat rap days and getting more comtemplative with his music.
