Seriously, why are there so many old people here?

I always assumed that most of the posters here would be between the ages of 18-21. I'm 19 and if I saw myself posting past the age of 21 I would kill myself, so I can't imagine all these guys in their mid 20s and 30s using this website and feeling okay about it.

Before I got here, every indication was /b/ was a retarded shitposting board and comparable to 9gag bullshit.
