I'm inclined to feel the same, but the available polling (in the U.S.) on the topic is a mixed bag. While young people seem less likely to support the practice, the current numbers and rate look unlikely to end it any time soon. I've been hoping some event would propel the issue into the mainstream for years.

Very true and important, but with the caveat that circumcision is prevalent only with American, Filipino, and some African Christians. Globally, Christians aren't known to circumcise, and the New Testament even 'unendorses' circumcision as opposed to Judaism.
