Before Oct 7, I used to not talk about Israel and how I feel about it to avoid getting into the I/P discussions. It resulted in my close friends telling me they didn't know how much Israel means to me when I asked them why they didn't support me the way we all supported our Ukrainian friend when the Russian invasion happened. Though they still didn't bother to offer any support after that and we are just old acquaintances now, I realized that I should be loud and clear about my feelings so that 1) people don't say they didn't know, and 2) so that especially today people know that this is how most Jews, diaspora or not, see Israel - our homeland.

It doesn't even make sense. Why would they hate the US? They saved them from the holocaust, helped them set up their own country and provide military support so they can continue to exist. They literally love the US. They are basically the only ones in the world defending them.
