I love that even the "Get a Job" people are realizing that people don't just choose not to work. Even section 8 housing isn't FREE, it's reduced, you still have to work.
Even if you had 8 dependents, you'd not make enough to pay for sect. 8 AND food at the same time, even with benefits.
So nowhere in America is free to live, people need money to survive, and yet simultaneously you believe there's just millions of Americans who are not only able to not work, but do so comfortably, with apparently lavish lifestyles.
In B4 "sect 8 paid for up to 6k a month."
Section 8 is based on income.
It will only pay out the established limit of any cost above 30% of your income, unless there's a difference.
If you make 2,000 dollars a month, the house that would cost the least would be one that gets closest to 1/3 of your income, and it is only covering the fair market value. I used the term "Fair Market Value" or "Fair Market Rent" because what Section 8 Covers isn't the ACTUAL cost of rent, it's the fair market cost of rent, that is, the average cost of rent in an area.
If the avg cost of rent in an area is 800 dollars, you make 2000 dollars, but you want a home that's worth 1000 dollars, the voucher pays out 600 dollars, you pay out 400 for the house, 200 for the difference between fair market value and the actual rent, for 600.
If the fair market rent is 800 dollars, and you make 2000 dollars, the voucher will pay out 300 dollars and you will pay 600 dollars.
Nobody lives for free in America.
