No colors really exist. It is just wavelengths of light. Color is how we perceive it. We have 3 photo receptor types in our eyes that can see color. They respond most to red, green, and blue light, which is why RGB lighting can seem to produce all colors to humans. It is individually manipulating our three photos receptors so they interpret as the various colors.
Other animals like birds have a 4th receptor that can see ultraviolet. Pit viper snakes can sense infrared. Other animals experience the spectrum differently than we do.

>If a tree falls in the forest and nobody is there to hear it, does it make a sound?
No, it doesn't make a sound. Yes, it causes pressure waves in the air from the sudden impact, but unless those pressure waves touch an ear, they aren't perceived as sound.
We can only hear a certain range of frequency of pressure waves. A dog whistle doesn't make a sound to us yet it is emitting pressure waves.
