even adults can recover some of the damage of near-sightedness with exercise. go outside, find something that's far away, more than 100 yards. focus on it for a few seconds. then go cross-eyed or focus on something really close, less han half a foot away. hold for a few seconds. then relax and focus on that spot in the distance again. repeat a couple times. do that several times a day.
