The Problem of Evil
Every single explanation for the problem of evil from theists is nothing but pure cope.
>God's not omnipotent, omniscient or omnipresent and can't delegate against evil
If that's true, then how could such a being with such limited power be the creator of the universe?
>Free will
Wouldn't hold up in court. If you argued to the judge that you have the free will to rob a bank, that judge is still going to condemn you to a prison sentence if it's proven beyond reasonable doubt that you are guilty. If God won't do the same just because he wants to honor your free will, then he's an idiot at best and irresponsible at worst.
>God's testing us
Yes, it's true that living life and encountering trials and tribulations makes people into more hardy and well rounded individuals, but 1) I didn't ask to participate in life, what if I don't want to be tested? 2) The amount and intensity of evil in the world is incredible, far more than what would be required to simply test people, and thus one could say our world is not a controlled environment, like most other testing grounds. When you're learning a martial art, you might train against opponents who are at your same level and who you know have no intention of taking your life. It would be extremely inadvisable to try and get your training amid the chaos of a live battlefield against opponents who are actively trying to kill you.
In my mind, the only way to resolve this problem is to accept either
A. If God exists, he's actively negligent or malicious.
OR
B. God doesn't exist.
