Because you haven't tried the new Gateron Lanes switches!
These switches are some of the newest from Gateron, and they are reminiscent of Alps Oranges - but they're MX compatible of course.
They have a click-leaf which provides a unique form of tactility.
The different feel can be described as "buckling" in my experience - instead of the usual tactile "bumps."
Despite having a click-leaf, these switches are NOT clicky switches because the click-leaf is silent!
In fact, the switch itself is rather quiet.
They come pre-lubed, but some people think that they need additional lubing.
I prefer to use them stock because of the scratch they have.
I also don't think that they need any films or spring swaps - even though I usually prefer 17.5mm springs or longer.
Typing on these switches is truly a joy, so be sure to pick some up when they come back in stock!
