Some content creators have complained at the risk of demonetization or having their channels removed. Independent creators are the most likely to resist restrictions.

I'm talking on a much larger scale.

People say that sex in the media contributes to rape culture. Every film studio starts covering up women and disallowing anything that could be construed as sexy (unless women are the target audience because it's women being sexy for their own benefit and not because of the ever-evil "male gaze.") Video game companies change the rules so that a woman wearing an outfit with a low trim, or one which exposes her legs, automatically gets you hit with a T for Teen rating.


Studios act as if the R-rating is the kiss of death -- except when they want to boast about how superheroes can now say the word "fuck." Sex still bad tho.

Violence is toned down and fake-ass CGI blood splashes are about all you get outside of indie horror.

And now studios are seemingly getting worried about who is allowed to be in a movie. Everyone is quietly gearing up for the potential of a complete fascist takeover because they want to hold onto their wallets at any price.

YouTubers are paid a portion of ad revenue. If advertisers don't want their ads shown on explicit videos, then there is no revenue, and poor old youtuber has to get a real job.
So if there is any problem, it's with the advertisers. Which again would go away if people wanted to just upload their videos somewhere that has no ads to begin with.
