If killing Charlie Kirk in any way prevented him from turning America into a Christian version of Iran or Saudi Arabia run by the Christo-Taliban, then I'm glad he's dead, but if all he was ever going to do was run his mouth on stage, then the effort would've been better spent elsewhere. I don't feel bad for him considering what he stood for, but shooting him just for being a stupid asshole bothers me a little bit, yes.
Watching the blood pour from his neck over and over and over again is very cathartic, but the abstract idea of shooting someone for having a wrong opinion bothers me, because that's not how we're supposed to do things in this country. But we're not supposed to try to turn it into a totalitarian theocracy, either, and people who sincerely try to put that into action should be treated like ISIS.
