one of the plots is near the last location i really liked but about twice the size
good access and a creek running through the property, totally overgrown though, would take a lot of bushwhacking to even set up a good camp site

the other one i'm considering is mostly cleared former agricultural land, has had a soil assay map done, but unfortunately it's right near an airstrip so idk that would probably be annoying

oof, yeah starting out on a bike and getting hit sounds rough
that's why I'm still debating if I want a real car or a bike
the heart wants a 600cc supersport, but the mind knows "you'll get yourself hurt or killed" and will still likely drop a regular but slow sport bike
but really, me being rear-ended ultimately fell on the other person, and everyone was assuring me of that when I felt terrible about it
it's unfortunate, but at least it might teach me to be a little more careful and not panic in heavy traffic when people are acting like animals
it really is a terrible intersection, and taking me there when I've never had to deal with any intersections was not a good judgment call on the instructor, but it is what it is

it's a little of both
squids wearing no gear and on supersports are probably doing something stupid
a lot of people just don't see bikers because they aren't thinking about them because it isn't commonplace in the US, but with proper training and skills you *can* avoid most crashes even when someone pulls out in front of you
I kinda realized when seeing this videos that most people don't brake hard enough, and don't swerve at low speeds around a car which is taught in advanced rider courses
if actual MotoGP racers are going 200+ and rarely crash even almost never die then it shows that it's a skill issue, not just idiot drivers
I am to live free on a bike as long as I can, and I will absolutely take a little parallel twin Ninja 500 to a track to get good as if it were a Miata

it's a hot take, but bikers love to blame others for their lack of skill
drivers are dumb and blind, motorcycles have an incredibly high skill ceiling, and most people are at the peak of Mount Stupid which is how you end up getting killed

Yeah, that's the charm of classic traditional media. A really skilled artist can make it awesome, and since there's neither copy-paste nor ctrl+z, a lot of actual skill and efford has to go into making even a background. But then it will be awesome in the end.
Too much low-efford art these days, not even just AI.

That's also one of my favorites for sure.

>>939674263
The thing abot motorbikes is, you really have to account for likely errors of others. I would only recommend high-power examples to drivers with enough of a sixth sense for others pulling something stupid to save their own asses. I started on a 125cc bike (strongest machine allowed at 16 here, no point in the US), then got a car license at 17. Only got my real motorbike license much later (and actually never got a real bike because lol, no garage.
Anyways, another truth about bikes is: EVERYONE drops theirs at some point. Ideally while trying to park it.
Get familiar with traffic in a car, once you can predict idiocy get a not-so-fast bike. Non-supersport 600cc is fine honestly, the Suzuki I made my license on was still reasoably reluctant at high speeds. Just don't go for something stupid fast first, because it's too easy to acidentally go twice the reasonably safe speed on those.
Make sure you got the basic driving maneuvers down, expect others to be suicidal idiots and never outrun your vision (i.e. don't blast around blind corners so fast you cannot react - eventually there'll be a tractor / car / bicyle / sand...)

At least around here it's mostly people getting dismembered by guardrails when their isle of men TT cosplay in the mountains goes wrong.
Right after that it's others not seeing them though.
It's important to remember that bikes being small are less noticable and harder to gauge to speed on. Many such cases could be prevented by not driving irresponsibly in traffic.

>>939674699
>I kinda realized when seeing this videos that most people don't brake hard enough
That's why it's really important to practice that. Actually part of the practical exam here.
It's also crucial not to brake too hard though, or you'll do a frontflip. I know someone who almost died to that because after he flew over the handlebars the bike landed on his head and crushed his skull. Docs allegely stopped counting bone fragments well into the three-digit range when puzzling his face back together. He recovered.

I think the proper braking and stuff isn't really taught in the regular motorcycle exam but I'm not sure
in my opinion it's probably too easy for us to get bikes since it's only a couple days in the classroom and a few hours around a parking lot to get it
>crucial not to brake too hard though, or you'll do a frontflip.
believe me, I know
I learned the hard way at 7 years old on a kid's bike with no rear brake going down a hill in my neighborhood
had I not panicked I could have gotten to the end of the cul-de-sac and crashed in the grass, but I was not expecting the front brake to fling me off at probably close to 30mph while death wobbling
lesson learned

Driving licenses here are exceptionally hard and fucking expensive.
9 years ago I basically drove across town to an epty lot for a gymkhana-session (braking, slalom at walking speed, slalom at 20mph, stop-and-go with a predetermined foot to stop on), then on to some highway and city driving, followed by Autobahn driving.
The theory test is full of shit too.

Death wobble is fun, had that with my first bicycle. No clue how fast I was going but definitely too fast for that kiddie-bike. Ended up splitting my helmet. Lesson learned: wear safety equipement.
